Good news!
Sort of a weird day here for me....a Zombie day, where I could never get oriented to get busy on things I need to be busy with. I was in a sort of a laid back fog......anyone else ever have days like that?

Regards!
Well, of course.

Indeed. What will become of my huge record collection? I have the sneaky suspicion that the kids just won't appreciate it. The LP's perhaps still, but the 78's?

My other favorite Shirelles song......"Sure baby...no need to ask again.....just help me get that strap latch loose and stop worrying!"

No...not even close. The music today has changed as much or more than the world we lived in back in those days. At least we had it and can recall it, I can't imagine young people today looking back 50 years and longing for the trash they listen to today?

I have tons of the oldies I listen to often.....Wouldn't mind if we had an "old music" day here where we played our Youtube favs from the 60s.

I have all the albums from those Doo Wop shows...fantastic stuff!

Regards!

Some old guys still have it.....I'm not one of them but glad to see those that do.

On our first date I turned on my car radio and this song started.....Mrs Rupert has been thrilling me ever since, right now she's making me scrambled eggs....and a big pile of bacon! 50 years ago last New Years eve night....

Looks delicious.......got some melted Velveeta to top it off?

The bacon was fried to perfection, and the scrambled eggs with Velveeta blended in were also perfect! Big fluffy flaky Aldi biscuits (.99 cents a can) were great too!

Heck, I have an outhouse here. It was built before we bought the property, and is still "in working" order; not that I use it!

Let's hope it doesn't beak down. They're costly to repair.

Not to worry, Rupert probably would repair it reasonably!

Last Saturday I went to the town market and bought some 'lardy cake'. The name sounds unattractive but it is a very nice kind of sticky sweet bun. I liked it enough to get another today. Also bought a cheese. It looks a little like stilton, but is rather more orange and a bit harder but has blue mould all through it like the stilton. Tastes really good. Must get more next time. It looks like a Shropshire blue but they sold it with a different name - probably the brand. Since I came here I have discovered many kinds of cheese I never heard of before.
