And there was news this week of an old lady who was accosted for an attempted robbery near a supermarket here. She fought off the assailant with a packet of bacon.

Where is Bert?

The young man needs to take notice. Bacon is not just for breakfast.

It does have other valid uses.

Are you paying attention Bert?

Or just come out with half-words and half-sentences?

Umm, I'm pretty certain there are those here (or mostly in the FUD&ill-humor section) who write with their buttocks - or rather with one of them...

You know, I still have a typewriter and can type around 80 wpm on it, even though I seldom use it. Got an A+ in high school typing. On my computer keyboard I don't type the same way, I just hunt and peck....so I guess that makes me a ...pecker?

Today was summer here. Quite hot, and humid. Avoided the sun as much as possible.

Was it over 100F like it is here...with 60% humidity? It is murder out there today.

Squirrels are taking it easy while waiting for the beer truck to arrive...

"What do you mean the beer truck had a flat tire and will be an hour late???"

Seems beer is a powerful attracting agent.....it drew you here. So...before we go any further and welcome you to our most important of all threads at PF......how come all our bacon posts have failed to attract you?.....we need to know that.....we already have one bacon hating Canadian here and don't want to be infiltrated and overrun by bacon haters that seek to destroy our #1 love....well, beer is a close 2nd......and on hot days our 1st!

...while you are replying...how do you feel about Velveeta? Just wondering........

Regards!

Today's jet engines still have them, but they are an internal design and somewhat quieter.

Indeed. I forgot about those external ones. Thanks for the diagram.
