It took some digging, but I found a photo of Rupert in his teens.

Otis has been monitoring some of my posts as the kinder gentler Rupert and commented that he is impressed at my smooth and easy new style....but then he said, "The problem is....I know you!"

Proving Otis wrong one post at a time!

Otis told me he was sure the beaver comment would draw you out.
Shows that even Otis can be wrong every once in awhile.

Otis was a little surprised that back in those days of properness a kid would ask a grown woman about the condition of her Beaver? He said he thought only a Rupert Type would do such a thing?

Being the "new" Rupert, I'm not sure just what Otis meant...but I bet you do!

I have often wondered if the writers, producers and censors ever considered the double entendre of the lines in that show.

Oh yeah....when they advertised for writers they asked for Rupert Types to apply. Even way back in the day...all my buddies laughed their butts off every time Eddie inquired about "the beaver". I recall once when my Mom walked in and scolded us for laughing at "the beaver". We laughed twice as hard!

You should have heard the roars when old lady Brewer next door rang the doorbell one day as we were all playing cards in the living room and asked if anyone had seen her missing pussy? We all pointed to her grandson Ricky and never let him live it down! Yep, we learned early and thoroughly...a neighborhood chocked full of Rupert Types.

Yes, it is my understanding that there were several young children aboard? It has not been too "newsworthy" here as you would expect, it seems that politics "trumps" everything from here to November. Little information about the victims or the circumstances has been released so far.
When you put yourself in the shoes of the parents, relatives, and friends of the victims, it is very heartbreaking.
My sisters wanted to give my Mom a balloon flight on her 85th birthday and I absolutely denied it happening. Didn't have to worry really, when my Mom hear about it she noted it was my sisters that were insane, not her.
Power lines and balloons are not a good mix. It is, actually, one of the safest forms of flight. But, pretty unforgiving when high voltage lines come into play.
I don't think there were any children on board. Here's a list of the victims: Texas Balloon Crash Victims List: Names, Photos & Stories | Heavy.com

Looks great! So how long does it take to make it? I just got in from Aldis and have been craving some jerky to snack on. I got this for $3.29 and surprisingly it is pretty decent. I buy their pre-cooked bacon all the time and it is very good for $2.69. Only 15 seconds to microwave when you need an emergency bacon fix...something young Bert would never understand.

Regards!

Long live Aldis!

Yes the dog displayed on my icon, stole my big bag of jerky out of my bag I carry to the Farmer's Market. She had the smirkiest satisfied look on her face after that. Yip!
