Reason? Who ever needs a reason?!

But back on topic; is the moon half full or half empty tonight?

(Yes, yes, I know it's waxing but that's not the point. Pedant.)

Light winds today, gusting only to 85 kph. Should pick up to 110 this evening. Our neighbour and Capitol city, Iqaluit, expects a good stiff breeze of gusts up to 145 this evening. Last time they had that, it blew the roof off their only high-rise. A whole 9 stories high. Not quite the elevated heights of Rogers and Hammerstein's Kansas City but the best we could do when raw materials consist of furs, snow, igunaq and niku (dried meat jerky). If only they'd had some gaffer's tape, they could have re-enforced it but, as noted earlier in this thread, K3 owners cornered the market in gaffer's tape in order to obscure an obscene word on the back of their cameras.
Tokyo, Iqaluit and Ricoh are doomed to be strangled in black tape.

Steve
It is brutal! I am not uncomfortable wearing long jeans even in 75-80℉ weather. I am cold when it's down to 60℉. 45℉ is already feeling brutal. If it's cold enough to drip the faucets, ie a hard freeze, I'm MISERABLE! Fortunately, we only USUALLY have one or two nights of hard freeze around 28-30℉. Not into the TEENS! Seriously, that's y'alls weather, not ours.

That is stiff little breeze. You may need to use some gaffers tape on your hat.

Geographically, it's "about" halfway between Paris and Bordeaux; really closer to Bordeaux ... it's a two-hour drive and we're on the Atlantic coast, like maybe at La Rochelle or nearby ...
