We didn't do any running.....we walked real slow to the cheesecake cooler, and I took the long way. She was stunning! Mrs Rupert would not approve...I am still supposed to avoid blondes.....I have a real weakness in that area.....but at my age I don't think it matters much anyhow......I'm not going to steal any hearts away for sure! What young beauty would be interested in an old guy shopping in the Butt Putty dept?

Never thought of that...... I did have on clean pants, my new boots and a freshly starched white shirt.....damn, you just messed up my day!

However, you can't take away the old (very old) fat lady that invited me to her home for dinner a while back....but I wish you could!
Did she offer you a ride in the sidecar of her motorcycle? Was it a Triumph?

Just viewing that made a dozen squirrels start multiplying like crazy. It looks like a Roman orgy out there.....

That's it? ...the best you got????

How about a little young female Cardinal instead of another squirrel...since they are all sort of busy right now multiplying.

The squirrels think they are mathematicians?

I wish we had sun! Cold this morning. Yesterday was nice - today's cold again.
Not to worry, we had rain yesterday. Went to town in the morning and did this and that and it started to rain before I came home, so I got wet walking back - a mile or so. Then did stuff at home - inside - where it was not raining.

Good to hear. Because if it had been raining while you did stuff - inside - I'd take that as an indication that you probably should be outside doing stuff to the roof. Which is no fun. Especially not when it's raining.

Me, I've hardly been out of bed the last 36 hours. Starting to feel better now. I suspect someone on board that ship must've put some Velveeta in my food Those Danes are turning out to be almost as bad as our Swedish neighbours Or worse! After all, surströmming is food. Fermented and ever so slightly rotted, yes, but it started out as food. Sort of.

Oh well, I survived - just - even though my liver has had a rough time. I'll put myself on a strict bacon diet now to give my body (and liver!) a break.

Hail bacon.

First and most important.....Hail Bacon here too! I have vowed to buy bacon on every trip to Aldis...and I go several times a week. I now have such an overstock that it is a regular part of the raccoons nightly meals. Gotta be the best fed raccoons in the entire world! I heard one last night saying to his brother...."We eat better than young Bert!"

Someday ...maybe in the winter when I add that Cognac to my coffee on a cold day, I will tell my blonde story...and how it almost ended my life. Only a misfire away from no more Rupert.

Haven't made that mistake again....but I could be tempted! You too?

Lest we forget....bacon can make some great wraps too....even with a brunette!

I tried to get Mrs Rupert to do a bacon wrap pose like this for a shot......"You know, that damn camera forum you are on is not doing you any good....you and that damn squirrel are both pathetic."

Well...I did try!
