I love watching the confused faces behind the counter when I walk into a coffee bar, going "One coffee, please".
What bugs me is the not-so-good coffee shops offering latte, cappuccino etc., when all they do is press a button on a machine that produces variations on the same thin, tasteless milky drink with soapy bubbles on top.

I prefer simple, filter coffee, but so many of the shops here now don't have it... you have to get an "Americano" instead.

"Surely that's a joke", I thought, and then I found this recipe for Banana Baked Donuts With Maple Glaze And Bacon Topping.

My favourite part of the recipe is the glaze:

Strain bacon fat into clean bowl - you should have 1-2 tablespoons. Mix with ½ cup maple syrup. Add 1 ½ cups powdered sugar. Stir to combine and set aside.

This is what makes America great. You simply can't ride off those calories in one lifetime...

I haven't had a beer in 30 years; I've hiked maybe 5.000 miles in that time, carrying a 65lb. backpack and I wouldn't even want to estimate how many rods I've portraged with a canoe yoked.

How many beers can I drink?

As many as you want.

But pace yourself. After 30 years you've got some catching up to do.

And hangovers suck.

That sounds like something you'd order in a coffee shop

Reminded me of a roll cage in a Mazda.

Elk in this area are big. Usually as big as, or larger than a draft horse.

Even this cow is huge. I would guess around 14 to 16 hands.

I'm laughing, but I'm no stranger to donuts myself!

He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first donut...
