Mrs Bob, Brooke the lab, and I are going to Arcadia Valley tomorrow for a little 2 day excursion to celebrate our recent anniversary, and hopefully to see a few fall colors.
It's a pretty neat area to visit if you're ever in Missouri.
There will be no shoe shopping.

^^^ Have a great time, Bob

Isn't it all hob-nail boots and weird dancing to banjo music there? You could go hob-nail boot shopping?

We were at Lake of the Ozarks, then Carthage (just a few miles from Joplin).
Lake of the Ozarks is a beautiful area too, but it's getting way over developed.

They've been developing Lake of the Ozark since 1940, so eventually it pretty much had to get overdone. The Grand Glaize arm is still fairly pristine because much of it is National Forest and it is somewhat hard to reach from the large marinas. You almost have to 'know' somebody to rent a house there

Everyone's still holding out on the Live Hocir, Tokyo's under threat, and PentaxDude still has not returned according to ancient prophecy.
