Been busy staying away from hocir thoughts.
Instead, researching cycling lights, days are after-all getting shorter now.
I got smart and purchased a 24 watt Cree flood (1440 lumens) from the local tractor supply. Hooked it up to my cycle and did a test ride around the block...
I am pretty sure the neighbors cat has permanent retina damage, as do I!
Some things are just too much... Never thought I would say that BTW.
So ended up ordering this... Cygolite Metro 850 - High Performance Bicycle Lighting

A necessary evil.

Like cops, lawyers and politicians.
You forgot accountants, those practitioners of the black arts.

Accountants seem to be able to convince themselves they made a profit or a loss regardless of what happened to the 'balance' number on their bank statement.

Days are shorter now, also getting a bit colder. Finally turned on the heater last night. See how it feels tonight when I get home.

Nice!
I bought one of these a few years back. Cheap from China. The only thing is the battery is not waterproof, so you need to tape it up in a surgical glove. Other than that, it works well.

The chief of some aboriginal tribe or some such offered Anthony Bourdain the rectum of a pig once. And rather than decline and offend the chief and his people, he ate it.

Mmmmmm . . . . . . . . . . nummy.

That is probably the single most thing I dislike about getting any procedure done that requires general anesthesia. Getting hangry sucks.

I just want a tiny snack.

Or a sip of water.

Nope.

You can't even have ice chips.
