I was napping. Went to bed around sunset last year and I guess Mrs. jac forgot to wake me up the next day (which came in late January). Did I miss anything?

Have we discussed really long Norwegian words? I don't think we have any. Not really long.

I can think of some fairly long ones - and ones that really are in use.

INUKTITUT WONS!

(Basically it means "No pew-jumping squirrels allowed", give or take a few syllables.)

I've never been mossed before. Felt a little mildewed when I got up but no moss.

Richardson was such a favourite that like Rik Mayall she guests in both the later seasons.

Because you can argue that creativity is usually the work of individuals, Mike, and extra cooks are often unwanted, I am interested in how artistic collaborations can succeed.

Richard Curtis (Love Actually, Notting Hill, Vicar of Dibley, et al) and Ben Elton (The Young Ones, etc) were like Gilbert/Sullivan and Elton John/Bernie Taupin, not being in the same room when they wrote.

They would each do three episodes for the year, and then hand them over to the other, who had complete control of the rewrite.

Because they knew what the other person liked, it's not easy to say who did what.

A genitalia gag might in fact be written by Curtis, and some historical insight might be by Elton.

It was a spectacular re-tooling and recovery, because the first series (written by Curtis and Rowan Atkinson) had been an expensive failure.
Thanks for that insight Clackers. You sound very knowledgeable on the subject!

You missed a whole race (Motorcars / automobiles) commentated by Racer - very thrilling, if you like motor racing.
Umm, not sure about anything else...

There have been suggestions that now the K-3 is out of production that this thread is obsolete: but the mods put a stop to that talk. (I mean, what has this tread got to do with a single camera?)
And there has been no awakening of our (long lost) OP.

...there. now you are up to date.

jac, is that you?
I haven't noticed a post by you for...ages.
Have I been asleep? or have you?
Is it that your period of hibernation has ended? or is it that the liquor delivery is late and you need something else to do?
So many questions: so few answers.
Even though electrons travel at the speed of light, it takes a while. Nunavut is way up there. And the part that Jac is at is on the edge, way, way, way up there.

At some point the electrons have to take a boat or a plane, or in the winter, the Ice Road.

That makes it take even longer.

Yes.

You missed everything.

That's OK, I'll fill you in.

Jimmie Johnson won a 7th championship (Cup) last Sunday down in Miami. Johnson joins Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt in a 3 way tie for most championships.

That's pretty much it.

Oh, almost forgot.

Daniel Suarez won his first championship (Grand National) on Saturday. The first champion in that series from outside the US, Daniel is from Monterrey, Mexico.

Yep. That about covers it. You're all caught up now.

So, have you been making any photographs?

A couple of weeks ago I broke a tooth. I just got back from the dentist who pulled what was left of it.
He had to take it out in pieces.
Go ahead; ask me how my day is going.

If we ask, can you reply without dribbling down your chin?
