we happened upon some BC bison that did a pretty serious mosey across the highway
farmers and ranchers try raising bison like they were big cows and find it just ain't so
a buffalo on the road is as likely to take you on as move out the way
there is nothing domesticated about them

a kid I drank with put a 150 pound whitetail through the grill of his roadrunner at somewhere around 100mph
killed the deer. killed the car and put him in a bed for the rest of his life

even a pheasant through the windshield can be a terminal experience for drivers and passengers
it happens every year or so here

Muscle cars were notorious when i was a kid for thinning out my friend herd. I sold on my convertible Goat I had tricked out a bit to hit 550 hp at the wheels (it was deadly fast) wrong kid bought it from me he'd never owned a fast car went off a hill on a rural road airborne and flipped the car killing all four occupants , but i think it was just bad driving and not an errant animal. didn't stop me from guilt over selling it to him, i had run a gamut of them starting with a 289 mustang and worked my way up to that insane car (wish i had kept it, 4 people would be alive and i could sell it at barrett jackson for a hell of a lot more than i sold it for

Long time ago, winter, back in Finland. (Not a 911 just a type 3 slant-back) Told that to my then GF that was driving. (or I might have told her not to shift up and give it gas) She, being her, did not believe me. So, after 3 pirouettes, we went flying off a small back-road bridge spanning a good size ditch.
Ended up wedged between a huge granite boulder and a birch tree. Couldn't get the doors open, had to roll down the windows and climb out. It was a long walk to the nearest farm-house. Farmer was kind enough to pull us back on the road with his tractor.

I could tell Zoe to sit and she would obediently sit and look at me eagerly awaiting the next command. I would then place a doggie biscuit on her nose, and say, "Wait."

She would sit there.

And look at me.

Only when I would say, "OK!", would she then flip the biscuit up and catch it.

I could also place one on her forepaw, or on a plate, or wherever, and she would only take it if I gave the OK.
