Since I shoot 99% in the Crop Mode with my K1, it makes me wonder if this new camera might be better for me? Too late now.....I'm pretty hooked on the K1.
So far I haven't figured out what a FF camera is good for when you are just an old squirrel shooter? If it wasn't for that Crop Mode....good for nothing! I do love that Crop Mode! Wonderful!

Regards!

Off to nighty-night...can't help but think of Jim and hope he is able to get some decent sleep tonight. Say a little prayer for him...if you are so inclined. I am.

Regards!

But isn't the 50-500 an FF lens. You have to try getting close and using the full frame.

All this new gear talk and I'm more excited about the new Weber charcoal.
Trying it out soon for some slow smoked baby back ribs.

Yes, it is FF. Squirrels have very bad breath...and they bite. Some have even learned to spit and more than once they have climbed up way above and peed on my head......so, no thanks!

Regards!

My stomach is rumbling already Rob! Yum!

But then, I did have a gastroscopy and a colonoscopy today. And, happy to report that the machines used were Pentax. Not sure that sharing the photos won't put you off your dinner though!

So you have just suffered those chemicals that the saddists make you swallow in order to enfeeble you.

While I have used charcoal to help my stomach recover a few times on my travels, the sight of it never makes my stomach rumble

Thanks, I think we can waive the "pictures or it didn't happen" rule in this case...

I think this commercial from an online marketplace probably hits too close to comfort. I think the point is clear enough even if you don't understand the language

"Take a picture", they say...
A picture cannot be taken - it must be created, stolen from nature...
Nanoseconds of a human's soul....
Hundredths of a second of a wild animal's life...
That's the reason for my existence

...
What were you thinking?!

Yep. And it's in that tiny span of time that I usually manage to completely screw things up

I'd see what the reviews are like for the new camera. The K-1 is holding its value well in the used market, and I doubt that will change for quite some time... I'm sure you could switch without losing a great deal. Just looking at the new camera's front control wheel, though, I don't know... it doesn't look as ergonomically friendly as the K-1 (or the K-3II)

Mike, you are referring to the KP?
There might be ANOTHER reason for not buying the Evil hociR!
(Apart from the fact that the K-3 is no longer available!!!)

I am, Rod. Just because the K-3 is no more, we mustn't let our guard down. We should be thinking through our reasons for not buying the KP in advance of its release...
