no antidote

the symptoms are reflective of some behaviors I've witnessed recently though

however I've not seen rodenticides here other than anticoagulants
they are bad enough

however lumping the smooth creamy delight that holds America together with assorted toxins is just wrong

Did you obtain it at a local liquor store, or via the innerwebs?

Or was someone generous enough to gift to you?

The reason I ask is that my state recently deregulated booze sales. The state run stores were good for ordering in stuff they didn't carry. Now the grocery stores have taken over, and the selection is poor, and try finding someone to order in something special.

I did find a number of web resources, and two that are the "official" Laphroaig innwerweb retailers.

Simply my own opinion/tastes
Dark roast coffee is nasty stuff
Instant coffee is very nasty stuff
Decaf is What's the point??

After many years my Bunn maker gave up the ghost and I went with an Aeropress for a few years, before giving in to a Keurig.
Now it's K-cups and Costco's Morning blend or Papa Nicholas donut blend.
Still use the Aeropress on occasions, it makes the best tasting coffee I've ever made, especially when using fresh ground from my burr grinder.

I have a burr grinder/Aeropress combination, too, Rob!

I use a cappuccino capsule machine more often because IMHO the Aeropress makes great filter coffee, but not so much espresso (very little crema, for whatever reason).

I use a heavy duty residential style espresso machine at home. I'd like a commercial machine but it's a bit of a luxury - all for the aim of being able to run 4 coffees and froth milk at the same time! So, for now the machine I have will have to do. I do have a commercial quality burr grinder and would love to start home roasting - but I've not ventured into that yet. My wife likes Lates, but I only drink Espressos, so the top of my machine is stacked with several Late glasses and a good few little Espresso cups.

That AeroPress is a very clever little machine. A friend of mine has one and it makes quite a nice coffee.

I understand it's possible to get a really good quality (coffee bean) roast using a hot air popcorn machine. See, for instance http://coffeegeek.com/guides/popperroasting

But, I may finally have a use for the rotisserie for my Weber!

Black coffee.....no cream and for certain no sugar or other sweets. If it is coffee at all, it has to be black. The best I have ever savored was made in the coffee can it came in, boiled over a camp fire with the grounds floating free, filtered through your T-shirt......there is none better anywhere! Many gallons of it in my younger days....first thing you do after you get the fire going and a nice bed of hot coals. Coffee brewing...bacon frying in a big cast iron skillet.....it was so wonderful, and I knew it even back then!

Regards!

I think that would fall into the category of what we call 'comfort food' - not good, but psychologically, exactly what we need.

Letting the coffee extract for more than about thirty seconds in hot water can dominate all the other flavours with that bitterness!

If I could steal a little chink of my Granddads Reg Tag Tinsley for a chew, the bitter taste was not noticeable. You never complained or my Grandmother would give you a good dose of Black Draught!

Some coffee from this morning and at lunch time. The espresso from my work machine. The two cups from the local coffee shop, lunch time. Annie had the late!

If you plan to serve me cowboy/campfire coffee, please add some eggshells to smooth it out.
Unless that is you're my older brother, he makes the best campfire coffee ever, even without 'em.
