I thought it might help your eyes...it helped mine!

Thinking about you this morning....and hope you will be able to be up and around for your 3 good days of weather...when it comes? If you are not alert, you could miss it, so keep your eyes open and don't go back to review those Wallyworld shots!

BTW- 72F here at 11:45 AM - I think Otis is about to declare winter over......so I am getting out my long johns again, it could get pretty chilly in a few days.

Regards!

It's been in the 60s here, lately. 30 degrees above normal.

I can see the nice weather out the window.

Yep, Mrs Rupert is in Church this morning, praying I am a "good boy" while she is gone.

Sounds OK...not great, but better than normal! Just don't let Otis do any weather predictions for your area!

Regards!

Shot this a few minutes ago.....my stomach is growling and I was just thinking....they really are delicious...I bet Bob could do a dandy job of grilling up a batch of them?

That one looks so thin compared with the ones over here. I was amazed how fat all the birds look here.

It's been awhile, but i remember my recipe.
We always breasted them out, mourning doves that is.
Salt, pepper, wrap with bacon, grill about 2 minutes each side, add a dash or two of Tabasco, wash down with ice cold beer.

Dove hunting is about as much fun as you can have with a shotgun.
I think the average is 7 shots per downed bird.
My record best was 3 for 3, dropped two with first shot, missed one, got another one on the 3rd using my trusty Remington 870 pump.
I've got all the time in the world to hunt and fish like I used to love doing, just don't have the drive anymore.

Walmart? But I don't need new ones - the old ones look fine since I painted the rooms.
