Nice work.

That's only because sometimes I can actually type more than two words in a row without having to correct spelling.

I dunno Bert.

Carbon fiber is pretty tough. They make airplanes with it now.

Big airplanes.

Yep.
I've seen some aluminum frames fail from fatigue. I haven't seen a carbon fiber frame fail.
Oh, and they have been making cars with the stuff too.

Fast cars.

I've got a few sets of streamers for the handlebars that I could send him.

Very cool ride, Mark

But keep an open mind... Basket, rear carrying rack, tassels for the handlebars... You could pimp that baby up real nice...
I'm speechless.

I would be too.

You should hold out for longer steamers.

And maybe some horns.

It's not that hard to break, I know someone who cracked their carbon frame when they just leant it against a tree (maybe a bit too hard...?). Also the amount of broken carbon fibre ski poles I've seen...
Nah. Leaning a carbon bike against a tree won't do that. Throwing it with some force into the tree might. Carbon is more forgiving in a crash than alloy and, whats more, can be repaired. Most carbon frame bike manufacturers offer fantastic frame warranties now. Mine has a 6-year frame and fork warrantee.

Thanks Jim! I'll pass on that very kind and generous offer. But, enough about me: Poor Bert is just north of the border - I'm sure he'll be very happy with all these generous gifts you kind folk want to offer! Maybe you can even get him a saddle? I've found just the thing:

I'm glad you liked it.

You just have to put your mind to it, Mark. These bikes don't design themselves...

As for the vroom-vroom cards in the spokes, I hadn't even begun to think of the "virtual power-train". Thanks guys, for stepping in on that

It's the least we could do. Any more could get us banned for life.
