Okay, I've been in the business for just shy of 20 years. I'm going to share a secret with Mark, but I'd appreciate it if all of you who see this woud keep it to yourselves.
I often have customers want to increase their speed and sometimes they're willing to spend a fair amount of money to do it. For my best customers I offer them a tip on how to do that that costs absolutely nothing.
Here's the secret, Mark. If you want to increase your speed....
Pedal faster.

Ha yes! We always say that a new bike is nice - but it's a pity about the old engine!

Hate to leave this super informational thread, but have to make dinner, for just me, wife is out for the evening.
I'm thinking a grilled bacon, chicken, tomato, cheese pizza on flatbread.
Pics in the morning, if it happens.
Play nice!

Three years ago today in Oso, Washington, many lives were forever changed. Pause a moment please.

That was a terrible tragedy. 40-odd people killed if I recall correctly.

Dreadful, Racer. Terribly sad.

Last year was the 50th anniversary of the somewhat similar Aberfan disaster in Wales, which - since the UK is such a small place - is still remembered by all those old enough, and known about by almost everyone else...

I'm gone all day and come back to find I have missed a ton of highly informational and critically worthy information, like is seldom seen here. What's up with that?

Anyhow, Mrs Rupert got through her procedure just fine and after not eating for 48 hours offered to let me buy her lunch at Red Lobster. I did feel bad about using her debit card duplicate, but not bad enough to use my own.

She was pretty hungry!

Regards!

Good to hear it went well with the procedure! Sleep well. And don't have nightmares from all the bicycle photos posted here lately.
