That strikes me as a very strange comment.
It would likely seem odd to the husbands of Krri Walsh-Jennings ans Misty May-Treanor.
Sorry.

It is the latent narrow minded red neck in me. Somehow the women playing in certain games bring out that emotion in me. Like women's softball leagues. Those gals are Amazons. Very butch, in an alluring way with the long blond hair braided or in a pony tail.

I'll stick with wheel to wheel competition.

Another shot of yours truly mixing it up.

The guy in the 03 Camaro would pass me on the straights, and I would out brake him going into the twisty bits. This went on for several laps when he tried to out brake me at the end of the back straight. He went off, and I never saw him after that.

The guy in the 4 240Z was running one class up from me on slicks, I was on DOT tires. His slicks should have been good for 1 or 2 seconds a lap on me, but I outqualified him, and started ahead of him. He got by me when the 03 car spun off. I stayed on his bumper, drafting down the straights, nipping out to try and out brake at the end. This caused him to 'mirror drive' and it was only a couple laps before he drove straight off the end of the front stretch.

Oh, yeah. In this shot the 3rd car back is a Mazda RX3. A very capable woman was driving that car. Her and her husband shared it, running in 2 different classes, and separate runs groups. They were both fast and very competitive.

Sorry everyone, there was a lot in the last couple of pages that I did not like. It was not like the usual wittiness of this thread. Please lift your sights a bit.

I know.

Racing is better with bacon.

Rest assured that on the race days there was sausage, bacon, eggs and hash browns with coffee for breakfast, bacon, lettuce and tomato sammiches washed down with some juice for lunch, and bacon cheeseburgers with beer for dinner.

Adult malted barley pops are forbidden any time the track is hot. Don't want anyone going out and careening about wildly in 2,400lb machines at speeds 2 and 3 times the national speed limit if they aren't physically and mentally ready.

And on Saturday evening I always kept consumption to a minimum. Hangovers suck, and during Sunday's morning practice and afternoon race I wanted to be at my peak.

Or as close as I could get anyway.

I've forgotten where my peak is. I'd need a full tank of diesel and sat-nav to find it...
