Being broke is no fun either, for sure. Been there many years ago, and I'd prefer not to experience it again. But here's another thing... When I was unhappy, I was earning more than I'd ever earned before. Yet I spent a lot trying to find happiness in other things. Now, I have
considerably less financially (though I'm still reasonably comfortable, thankfully) - but I spend a whole lot less
because I'm happier. At least, I think that's how it's working

... 33 with my present wife seems like 15, but I guess that's the downside of happiness, time flies.
That sounds like a great relationship, Bob. Kudos to you both. Even the best marriages require work and compromise, but if you can make it through 33 years and still feel as you do, I reckon you've got it figured out
I should say, out roughly 25 years of marriage, we had a lot of good times, and I'm grateful for those - even though the tough times were
very tough, and we probably hung on longer than we should. Hindsight's wonderful, eh?
