I do have to admit that I have been smitten with the MX-1 since I got it. It is a great little camera.
Rupert and Otis come back and this thread goes to photo and gear talk?
I really like my MX-1 too.

Well, cleaveage is better than having old Rupert back, even Otis agreed to that! He was noncommittal when I asked him if cleavage beat bacon.....but did say he would be willing to do a comparison test.

Thank you. It was pure dumb luck.
You know, most of what I shoot involves some luck...often a lot of it. What matters is that you got the shot and a fine shot it is!

That reminds me so much of my Fuji X10 & X20 cameras. They continue to delight me and get a ton of use for trips and just general shooting. Any camera that thrills you is a delight to your shooting pleasure.
When we went on that 5400 mile round trip to Oregon, Mrs Rupert used the X10/X20 for window shooting along the way as I drove. She got some very decent shots and great memories. Small cameras are wonderful!

One I liked Mrs Rupert shot as we drove down the Interstate at 80mph...someplace in Kansas?

Don't forget about us over here and post when you can! All are welcome!

Otis was "just sayin'" ...if this thread banned degenerates there would be no one here? That wasn't very polite of him, but who wants to argue with Otis!

Regards!

NOTE: In case I forget, which can happen more often than not......I am not "gone", not "banned" and not dead.....though I often feel pretty close. We are going on trip #8 to Big Bend this week. May take more of those obnoxious pictures, but mostly just want to view thew desert blooms and breathe the clear dry desert air while relaxing a little. Mrs Rupert needs to rest up for the final run to her retirement in 2027.

Going in the Jeep.....off road is always a possibility there. It's 20 years old but in great shape still....I hope! Wish I had some of you guys coming along, it would be a great trip.

Thanks Mark! Good to be here with friends like you! We hope to enjoy a few days out there. Mrs Rupert needs a break after her last weekend visit to Florida.....where she had a great time with that oldest grandson.

Hope we have as good of weather as they had in Florida!

Best Regards!

With all this holidaying you'll need a holiday to recover from the holiday you're taking to recover from the holiday.

20 years old and I was in great shape, and starting on the long journey to get to the pathetic shape I am in today! When you start going downhill, it gets faster with every inch you travel. Still, there is a little life left in these old bones.....just not below the ankles.

BTW...A friend of mine was going to send me an E-mail.....maybe he just overlooked it or maybe Otis was right, he wants to stay clandestine? I used to have Otis' E-mail address but he changed it...said it was for "security reasons"?

Guessing that the desert is in full bloom about now, I sure hope so! So gorgeous when it is all blooming. Also looking forward to that Chili Pepper Cafe...now those people know genuine Mexican food.....since the cooks live just across the border a few hundred yards!

Regards!

I had a yellow car once...never want another one, it was a certified lemon!

Where we usually go in Big Bend is mostly just very rough and rocky with a few steep hills. The Jeep handles it better than I do.

Places like this are pretty common and easy but jar you around a lot.
