That depends. I'll bet the Quebecois don't consider themselves one of them.
But then, I'm not sure they consider themselves Canadian either.
Quebec is only Canadian because they are surrounded on 3 sides by Canada and one side by the US.

Since France gave the US the pretty green statue they only had one logical choice.

Je me souviens.

Pretty sure you are younger than I. And I am not letting go of my youth just yet.

You're still young.

Not even Rupert is old yet. He still has a couple years to go.

Enough of all this getting old talk. I won't stand for it.

Since you all think I am a pedant then perhaps I need to rephrase that.

Back when I was still at school there was ...

It is a while since I complete the school part of my education, I have done quite a lot of study and teaching since then. And all that means I keep on meeting with really interesting people and doing interesting things that make me not want to retire, so that I would need to behave like I was tired again.

No-one answered my other interest expressed earlier today. Did the tornado in Texas dodge Rupert (and Otis)? If it did not try to they would have tried to learn it a lesson.

Not wanting to be left out of the pedantry fest I feel compelled to point out that the wrong tense of the highlighted word was used. It should have been the past tense.

Sorry, missed that part.

The tornadoes happened in East Texas, about 250 miles from where our dear friend Jim lives.

Usually the worst that happens where he live is the sun comes up and by noon the temperatures exceed 3,000° and everything gets dried out and burnt crispy.

Like bacon that is over cooked.

Being really pedantic (and, rest assured, I'm going to be), that's the "simple past tense" you're referring to.

Just sayin'.

I wrote a new national anthem a few years back, but people wouldn't stand for it.

You.

Sorry, I didn't mean I was calling you simple... just noting that you'd missed out the word. Honest.

Nice. I was pretty pleased with my own effort, but you just knocked it out of the park

Conjugating verbs demands
Tense
person
Mood
Voice

So the table for conjugations gets pretty big. And somehow we just know it, somehow caught as if by osmosis.

Y'all are scaring me with those big ass fancy words.
Velveeta is the longest one I know, and lutefisk is the fanciest.

And just who is this Osmosis, of which you speak? Or is it "Oz Moses"?
