Steve
I know, Toyota also owns some of their shares (I am pretty sure)

I was just referring to other car companies

Yeppers. Those shares were once owned by GM. Sold 'em to Toyota for $1 billion in 2009, IIRC, before the belly flop of NUMMI (50/50 JV Corolla/Chevy assembly plant in Bellingham, WA Fremont, CA, that was closed). Subaru shares were interesting to Toyota because they have an 80,000-vehicle capacity plant in Indiana that was idle - to replace the NUMMI production.

Fremont, California, actually. Now it's the Tesla factory - part of it is, at least.

Well then - it's always the details. And now we know why the economics of Tesla worked when all the other electrics didn't

Has anybody noticed that the OP started this thread over 2 weeks ago and hasn't made a post anywhere on PF since; and that the post was his first in over 6 months, and only his second in nearly 2 years?

just sayin'................................................................

Makes me wonder what other nuggets of insight we're missing out on.

I won't be buying a K-3 because my K-30 is perfect. I'll reconsider next year though

I totally miss the point of this post.

Are you saying the OP should not have posted this based on his activity here?

He couldn't be out taking photos, could he? Maybe taking photos of abandoned car plants? Or maybe he's been taken up in the Rapture - the possibilities are endless. There's a thought: "Rapture". It may be that he's out taking photos with the prototype FF Pentax (similar concept, for some).

Yes, I am a moderator, but I'm also a forum member with an independent opinion.
The above post reflects the sentiment and/or opinion of Parallax and not that of the staff or ownership of PentaxForums.com, nor probably anyone else.
