Thanks for all the well wishes. I am not used to being sick and do not take it well. Rough night for me and Mrs Rupert, but I feel a little better this morning. My urge is to get out and go places and be active to defeat this, but it is exactly what I don't need to be doing. I'm probably going to try to sleep most of today since I slept very little last night. It is hard to realize how fragile we really are...and that we are very mortal beings.....unlike Otis that is not affected by anything or any circumstance. In fact, he is kind of scary in that regard!

But...I will be out there feeding the squirrels (and birds) this morning. I know better than not to, my problems are nothing compared to a bunch of angry squirrels in an uproar!
Regards!

Jim, this is one time I have to agree with you. Velveeta is much better than milk for many things:

Spackling drywall
As an industrial adhesive
Repairing shoe soles
Baiting mouse traps
Filling cavities in teeth
Concrete patch
Substitute for clay for filmmakers doing claymation
With a couple days of curing in the sun I suspect it could be used in place of bricks for building.

Yep, better than milk for a lot of things. If it were fit for human consumption it would be even more versitile.
velveeta DOES make good bait
however the two universal mammal baits, Rupert's peanut butter and purina dog chow, have lured more species, more often than anything else I have ever tried

so in order of effectiveness...peanut butter, dog food, velveeta and oatmeal

don't use oatmeal around birds and reptiles...it will expand in their digestive tracts and give them terminal tummy trouble

I appreciate that, It has been quiet enough to catch a couple hours sleep. I chanced it and went down to Aldis.....I was out of Winking Owl and don't want to die on empty. Feel somewhat better, but I think I am nowhere near the end of this stuff.

I just read the fact sheet that came with the drug I am taking.....If the side effects don't scare the hell out of you nothing will..and there are lots of them. Look it up, just reading it will make you not want to get pneumonia, or anthrax, or the plague...it treats all of them.Levofloxacin.
Unfortunately, I don't have a choice, it is the last line of defense.

You guys continue on, I'm going to take a nap in another room, so you can make all the noise you want!

Regards!

You mean we can't say _?

Well I never.

How about _?

Guess you can't say that one either. So now we will never have little Parallaxs, Ruperts, robtcorls, Bertwerts, or Racers running around then, will we? Without a _ and a _ you can't have a baby.
