Thinning the herd.
Bought this from craigslist 5 years ago, paid $60. It's a rare, mid 1960's Weber color called Glen Blue.
Put it on auction on eBay yesterday starting at $100, and $50 shipping.
By this morning the bids had reached $609, they've stabilized for now, but some serious kettle collectors think it will top 1K to 1.5K.
That would cover the cost of my kp kamera, and clear my conscience of any possible guilt, if I had any.
I did cook on her a few times.
I never would have thunk that vintage grills were collectible.

I always thought those things rusted out after sitting with clogged vents full of ash on the deck in the rain.

And here is one selling for 10 times what it was bought for used.

Yeah... again, we're kind of stepping outside of my stomping ground here...

I've seen worse.

Once met a nice looking gal at a party. She seemed to have an interest in me, so I laid on the Racer Charm, and made a move.

Things were going along well, it was looking like the evening may just have a great ending. So I was just about to plant a liplock on her to seal the deal when she turned her head and spit.

That was when I noticed she chewed tobacco.

Took all my resolve to keep from giving up the beer that I had been drinking, or the cheeseburger from earlier in the evening. I excused myself on the premise of a need to get rid of rented beer, and then slipped out the back way, never to be seen again in those parts.

Ewww. Classy.

That said, at least she had the decency to spit. I mean, what if she hadn't??

You obviously haven't spent much time around these parts.

Oh come on, Bob. Seriously?

You're in Missouri. Granted, Northern Missouri, but there's a theory that the toothbrush was actually invented in the Ozarks. It's thought that if it had been invented elsewhere it would have been called a teeth brush.

All this talk of girls and pending dinner... It brings to mind my late teenage years, walking into town on a Friday evening and fraternising with the slim pickings on offer (sometimes, not so slim!), more-often-than-not heading home disappointed via the local Chinese take-away or kebab shop to buy a cheap dinner that nowadays wouldn't make it past the Food Standards Agency... I was never (well, okay, rarely) one to settle for second best when it came to female company, but some of the food I ate was highly questionable. These days, well... the tables may have turned. I would never settle for a sub-standard meal...

She would have not long after our lips met, to be Shure.

Notice how I tied that in?
