Anyone missing Bert's bagpipe videos?
Me neither.
But I do miss his wit.

Yep, I miss Bert too...but be careful, there are some here that might get all teary-eyed and start posting those bagpipe vids again......we sure as heck don't need that! Bert will be back...let's just enjoy the break!

Maybe yesterday's grilled Porterhouse pork chops will bring back some posters?
Beats the hell out of bagpipes, and lutefisk, IMO.

I need a nap. I need steak. I need millions of dollars. I need bacon.

I feel like today is a test of some sort.

That's a pretty low bar Bob? A tuna sandwich or bologna and Velveeta would beat the hell out of bagpipes and lutefish.

Those are nice thick chops....the best kind! Some yeasty rolls.....real mashed potatoes....Oh yeah!

Regards!

South Dakota is indeed a land of extremes.

Left Arnold, Nebraska this morning at 4am.

Drove to Alliance, topped up the gas tank, grabbed a bite to eat, and visited Carhenge (pictures will follow). From Carhenge we headed to the Crazy Horse Memorial, then headed over to Mount Rushmore, then grabbed a very tasty bacon cheeseburger, fries and a beer at a place just outside of Deadwood. After the tasty treats we checked out Deadwood, then cruised through Sturgis. After that we passed through Belle Fourche, and landed in Broadus for the evening.

500 miles today.

About the same, or a bit more tomorrow, and then a nice leisurely drive on Tuesday to get home.

Home is where the heart is.

And Wednesday I go back to work hardening.

Yay.

Oh, and the AC is still acting up, although today it worked more than it didn't. The last 120 miles or so it blew hot air.

Yay.
Work hardening. Sounds like a metallurgical process.

Yeah, it does, but I might have thought he meant something completely different if he had posted after Bob's Popsicle post that he had to go back to work hardening.

Bob - do you have the EXIF data for that shot? I find myself pre-occupied with things such as shutter speed, aperture, ISO etc. (obviously)...

And then @tim60 goes and mentions "hardening"...

Just back off the bacon a bit and your arteries will be fine.
