Got my CT scan....it sure beats the CT scans of old.....no long tube to go in and so fast and easy! I walked in a 3pm and walked out at 3:14pm. That's fast service!

I get a CT scan this afternoon......should be interesting. As of this moment I feel pretty damn good......very little congestion and breathing is fairly easy. Have slept well the past two nights, which makes a big difference. However, I've been here before......great today and then it all falls apart tomorrow.....we will see what happens? Regardless, I think my lifestyle has been changed forever, it is not ever going to be "like it was".
Those boys were jumping from near the cable car station on Table Mountain, Cape Town. Crazy!

CT - I had one last week. With the injected dye. Very clever.

I'm allergic to that dye, broke out in hives when I had a CT scan some years back.
Rupert, hope those scans come back with some good news!

Checking in so you know I haven't checked out.
I've had a tough row to hoe the last couple days due to my blood thinner meds.
Unbelievable indigestion and gut pains after eating anything with carbs, even a slice of bread, with breakfast or dinner, that's around the time I take each one.
Bacon and eggs have been my savior, but I'd like to branch out, miss my sweets, pasta, etc.
Sticking with the Pradaxa, if I can, I do not want to go on warfarin with all that blood testing, watching what you can eat malarkey.

edit to add, I've had no alcohol since last Sunday.
now I have your sympathy don't I?

I found shaving cuts to be interesting during my time on 'em, Bob!

Thankfully I'm a Norelco man.
I've always been careful with knives, more so now.

Yep, absolutely. Does not sound good but maybe it will get better and you will adjust? I've said here before, I fear the meds more than what I've got. One I am on now has a side effect of unexpectedly dropping dead with no warning. Not a comforting thought....I'll be off it very soon but the danger is said to last even months beyond your last dose.

If the end is closing in....I surely need to eat more bacon, more of that cheesecake (I did eat two slices tonight!) and buy me a fast red convertible and try to pick up a 19 year old blond.......and then try to figure out what to do with her?

Regards!...Hang in there Bob......this place can live without me, but not without you! (Or Otis......Otis said I had to add that)

I had a couple of interesting visits to the dentist, stressing the nurse frantically operating the suction.

Is that the dye that makes your exit get real hot?

That's the one!
It seems I may get an MRI next. Something on the CT could not be seen clearly and they recon MRI will show it better.

I've had a few MRI's in the past to diagnose disc problems (I could have told them they were a problem)..

Noisy things (the MRI) and come to think of it, with the creaking and popping so are my disks.

I've had those a few times. An odd sensation, to be sure.

The nurse here takes great delight in tricking people with that afterward suggesting that they may have weed themselves when they felt that warm feeling. He did not try his trick with me because he knows I've had a CT before. But he catches many with that trick

Since getting a pacemaker 14 years ago no MRI's for me.
It's funny, folks with pacemakers have to avoid magnets, but how do they test and get readings from your PM?
With a magnet of course.

I think the size of the magnet is significantly different Bob!
