Going to see Dr John?

For "lighter work" I have adopted a phrase from a guide we had on a walking safari. He handed over the rifle with the words "please hold this while I go checking for lions".

my workmate for a couple years had spent the previous fifteen working outside (literally)
he could pee down a shovel handle and you wouldn't know until a puddle appeared behind the blade
however when something more serious was in order he "walked the dog"

I was more circumspect...I just found a gas station

That's bad. Recent fires in Knysna, South Africa destroyed quite a number of classic cars too. Vintage cars among the vehicles destroyed in Knysna Fires | Road Safety Blog

I've heard as a replacement euphemism for 'going number twos' .... 'need to drop a couple of kids off at the pool'.

For a while when I was at school there was a ditty that used 'bombing battleships'.

Sad. Although, Z3 and Z4 are vintage cars?

I also saw somewhere that less than half the homes destroyed in the fires were insured.

That would be the Big Green Egg, aka BGE.
They're expensive compared to most Weber grills, and a status symbol for many of the owners.
That would be found in the homes with the really nice paper towels.

Sitting here this morning, on the Thundermug, making my daily donation to the current administration, it seems all too appropriate to be reading all this talk about the many ways we refer to that porcelain convenience.
