But supposedly the shortest book ever written was: "A History of German Humor."
The second shortest was "French Army Battlefield Tactics in WWII".

I think of my favorite lawyer joke. Two things I love are Norwegian jokes and lawyer jokes.
What's the ideal weight for a lawyer?

About 4 pounds including the urn.
I would not bother with the urn.

People's opinion of lawyers changes pretty quick if the find themselves in need of one. After the Boston Massacre, several of the British solders involved were put on trial. No one would defend them. Finally a lawyer named John Adams (yes that one) stepped forward protect them. In doing so he received several death threats and some of his clients left him. When people asked him why he did it he said that everyone deserves good legal representation and if the law didn't work for all it worked for none.

BTW, he won his case.
Long ago I read several Icelandic Sagas. The introduction (by the translator) of one of them said that in Iceland of that era lawyers would become part of any feud which resulted from their cases. They would only take on cases in which they believed. Wonder what capable person would take up law and not some other profession.

Never Forget

A quiet hillside, Somerset County, Pennsylvania

Tower 1, New York, New York

Tower 2, New York, New York

The Pentagon, Washington, DC

Take a moment today and pause, pray, and consider the many who perished that day.

Rupert and Bob, you must forgive me for this - but given today I think it is appropriate to post.

I think that the TCCA and the FFA have rules about a drone sounding like.

In truth that was very appropriate.

911. I have clear memories of that day. It led to significant changes for me. I was not directly affected, even to know that I know a person directly involved.

911, my daughter's 21st birthday. That morning I told my students as events unfolded that the world had just changed, and not for the better, and would never change back in their lifetime. Later that day, before they were edited out, I saw things on TV that are seared into my memory like childhood nightmares.
