This one's for you and Otis:
Thanks Bob!!! Yep....you know me and Otis.......that one alwys makes us laugh....even Mrs Rupert laughed. I did mention to her that years ago her hiney was better than any of those and I swear that is the honest truth.....it was spectacular, and I am a hiney expert....not much beats a fantastic hiney...she caught my eyes...both of them...first time I ever saw her...damn what a gorgeous hiney! (She may not like me posting this.........hey, I got nothing to lose!)

OTHER; Our oldest grandson missed hurricane Irma at his new place in Naples Fl..........Mainly because he got the hell out of there 10 days ago when he herd it was coming..He came all the way to Texas to wait it out. He is the apple of Mrs Rupert's eye so she was thrilled he got out. He said Otis sent him a message to get his BIG BRAIN THINKING and get the hell out! He did! Came to Texas until it was all over. His place is fine......just lost electricity but it is back now. His is a regional operations and Federal audits Mgr over 22 WFargo banks in south FL.........27 years old.......Otis is right, the kid has BIG BRAIN THINKING! All the better...he is sworn to take care of his Granny when I am gone....and no doubt, he will!

Regards!...Nappy time!

The video was fine Bert, THANK YOU!.........You are A-OK..just excepting tHat damn pipe stuff!

Don't give him trouble with Mrs Rupert. He could do without that.

You know I gave you the non-US interpretation of 'nappy time' quite some time back. You are not that far gone.

Nice to see you still have your sense of humour. That is encouraging to the rest of us. And your appetite, some enthusiasm for normal foods, not special invalid stuff for hospital patience. [I know, I know, deliberately spelled that wrong.]

I am (strangely) reminded of one of my favourite lawyer jokes:

Lawyer: “Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?”
Witness: “No.”

Lawyer: “Did you check for blood pressure?”
Witness: “No.”

Lawyer: “Did you check for breathing?”
Witness: “No.”

Lawyer: “So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?”
Witness: “No.”

Lawyer: “How can you be so sure, Doctor?”
Witness: “Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.”

Lawyer: “But could the patient have still been alive nevertheless?”
Witness: “Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law somewhere.”

Stay strong Jim. We're all holding thumbs (and other bits) for you.

I think I posted that on the joke thread almost two years back. Found it online under "Disorder in the court," allegedly from actual court recordings.

Lawyer: What is your birthday?
Witness: November 16th.
Lawyer; What year?
Witness: Every year.

Everyone here is eagerly awaiting some good news.

Thanks Jim! You know, P&R might have been better (probably not?) if some had not worked so hard to antagonize instead of contribute rational thought. Glad we were never guilty of that!

Here it is Fri morning.....been in here all week. Slightly better this morning, had a half decent breakfast and got a very good night's sleep.

May be moving me to a hospital in Ft Worth today? They are better equipped to do what I need, apparently. So if I disappear a few days I may still be kicking, just out of pocket.

Once again, Thanks to all for the best wises and prayers. It means more than you know.

Eyes going soft for now...all these damn drugs.....but I will close with this while I can still see on this tiny Nextbook..........

You guys recall my helper that works for me and details all our cars so beautifully? She lives across the street from us and is a good friend. She is going to assist Mrs Rupert while I am out......whatever needs to be done she will help out.
Mrs Rupert turned over all the squirrel/bird feeding......and in particular the nightly raccoon feeding......which she refused to do anyhow!

My helper (Kat) has already encountered some problems with Otis......beside pinching her on the butt and hurling a few off color comments, he is demanding special treatment, gourmet food, a daily massage, and a tripling of the beer allotment. There are other demands he made of her but can't be mentioned here..
She is now making the feeding run for the squirrels carrying her 12 gauge shotgun.........good idea!

Gotta go.......getting busy in here......more drugs and stuff....IVs.......shots.....a few really cute nurses.....they sit with me when Mrs Rupert is gone.....don't need to or have to....it's just that Rupert charm.....and they love those Rupert Stories! (Just like you guys love them....right???)

Love you guys!
Regards!
Rupert
