Personally I find it extremely funny and pleasant in the same time that Ricoh bought Pentax... because Ricoh and Pentax have been my favorite cameras always - have a decent collection from both.
So for me, having Ricoh and Pentax name on the same camera is like uniting two of my best friends into one
.
Pentax name will be lost and it will be kept as a line-up camera name. Is normal and it WILL come to that. Don't get too attached to the name... appreciate the product and its spirit...
So because of the reasons above, personally I don't care about the name as much as I care about carrying the spirit of Pentax and that beautiful (to me) K-mount
.
K-3 is a great start and personally I will continue to buy Ricoh's Pentax line-up cameras till the end of time (or until they screw up big time
).
However my next upgrade will only be an FF so I am patiently waiting for it. Why only an FF!? Just, because.
