Snow update. We got about 6 inches so far. A couple more on the way.
Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the new snowblower is delightful! And it isn't even named Ricoh, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!
Thank you! Thank you! I'll be here all week!!
I know.

I started my day in Sioux Falls yesterday, with high hopes and lofty aspirations of getting to Bloomington, but as I rolled into Cedar Rapids I encountered the fluffy white stuff sticking to the roadway, and far too many dipsticks who apparently have not evolved the skills of navigating in it.

You would think that when people spend their entire lives dealing with that stiff they would know how to drive in it. Where I come from conditions 4 times worse don't cause so much carnage!

It took me almost an hour to get to Iowa City.

By the time I got to Walcott (my favorite place to stop when working!) I said that is enough and found a place to hide behind Gramma's Kitchen/Checkered Flag Inn, went in and had a tasty hot meal washed down with a couple frosty mugs of Shiner Bock.

(Doesn't look quite so inviting right now with all the snow!)

I awoke at 4am, got bundled up and waded through snow drifts 3 feet deep to get a shower. And now I am trying to decide if I should have a bowl of cold cereal in my truck, or go in to the restaurant and have a hot stack of pancakes with BACON and some hot coffee.

Let's see, cold cereal, hot breakfast.

OK, hot wins!

I'm going in!

Oh, and they don't sell the K3 here, so I'm safe for now.

One last note, I just saw on the local news (on the 24" flatscreen in my truck) that there was a multi-car/semi pileup about a mile East of here. Guess I should take my time rolling out then.

OK!

And some peppermint schnapps!

Tasty!

Warm ya right up!

And keep the K3 at bay.

Baileys? Nah, I don't like milky things in my coffee.

Come to think of it, I don't like coffee. I just drink it.

I knew snow could be useful for something!

Still no reason for getting a K-3, though.

That looks like my back-door, sans bottles. Did you seek up here to get a look at my K3?

I've never, ever taken back a like. I think very carefully before liking anything or anyone. Likes are not to be thrown about carelessly you know.

This isn't FaceBookTwitterMySpaceHashttag, it is PentaxForums, the very best place for those who use or appreciate the very best cameras made.
Okay, you get a like for that one.

Still waiting on B&H to decide if they are going to honor the price in light of the snafu from last Friday . . . . . . . .

I had the camera, a grip and and extra battery on the cart. All they wanna do is give me a few bucks off of this week's price on the camera, which is now a hundred bucks more than it was last week.

The way I see it, I made every effort to make the purchase. Maybe they could discount all three items to get it to the price I should have paid.

Even if it still is a no go, the K3 is still off the list.
