My inbox had a note from Adam indicating that I made the grade yesterday to qualify for a raffle ticket for the end-of-month drawing. This is not good.

Steve
I've gotten one everyday thus far...

And I know how many posts I can make with the number of likes I already have OR how many likes I need to get all my posts to count...

No need. I'm watching VERY closely now! An occasional photo related post may be tolerated, but not if contains the abbreviation "FF".
Better watch it, Jean! It isn't Spring yet, but the ice you're on is pretty thin for even broaching the subject.

So.

Is it, "Final Frontier"?

Or maybe, "Fantastic Four"?

How about, "Fidel Fancies a Festive Fedora, while Frolicking in a Field of Fiddlehead Ferns"?

Either way, Hocir will not grace my camera bag.

George Fox was an exceptional individual and it is likely that he too would not be in favor of a K-3 purchase.

Steve
What about Jorja Fox?

Would she feel like we do about Hocir?

I'm astounded you know about the George Fox song... as a former Quaker, I thought it was our little secret. I used to have long leather britches and shaggy shaggy locks.

I won't buy another K-3 until I figure this out.

She would be most interested and would want to investigate the Hocir collection at my house...

OK, this is a crop taken from the background of another picture, of a picture that used to hang on my mom's wall... it's the best I can do...
Quakers actually stopped wearing plain dress in the approx. 1903, so this was my 1960's attempt to recreate the look. There are no existing photos of the black leather pants, that went with them. I wore the hat everywhere, and in true Quaker fashion, I refused to take it off for anyone, no matter how important they thought they were, it's actually pretty amazing this is the only picture of it, given the number of photographers in my family, everyone had an SLR.

Ok, I'd say that is as close to old George as we can get

(And I'm not going to discuss religion or anything, but they were waaay ahead of the times in their egalitarian views. We've still not caught up. Far from it.)

Gunksickles?

I've had lots of different reactions from people with that photo, but that has got to be the coolest!

I'm gonna have to use that.

But it won't make me get a K3.

Nope.

Not gonna happen.
Welllll, it's kinda "ice", but Gunk seemed more truthful... I logged a lot of winter miles commuting in Nebraska, and that stuff sure does build up (I have had 'flags' of the stuff on my CB antenna like crazy). I just never saw it spin off like that :-) way cool!

I'll mark the date on my calendar, in case I ever need to make reference to it.
