I think you've misunderstood Alan. I said it's as popular as free beer and bacon and frequent flyer lounges. Not that we get those things.
Or check with Racer - He gets paid twice as much as I do.

The environmentalists have been so successful that there is now a SHORTAGE of CO2!

The makers of beer and the kiddie beverages that can be used as non-inebriating substitutes are unable to make their product because of the shortage. Apparently the cause of the trouble is that the makers did not anticipate that June is summer, and people drink more and have BBQ, and they did not notice that the world cup of soccer is happening and that that results in consumption of such beverages.

By the way, my car is now producing less CO2 - I am frequently getting over 50mpg on my commute, and as Friday coming home I got just over 60mpg. Not bad for a Passat, but must admit that the measurement is done by VW equipment.

The news is actually real (I checked the date at first), but plants that generate CO2 for industrial use aren't pumping it out of the atmosphere, so the environmental issue is not at play here.

I'm quite sure it was tongue-in-cheek but, you know, Poe's law...
