The environmentalists have been so successful that there is now a SHORTAGE of CO2!

The makers of beer and the kiddie beverages that can be used as non-inebriating substitutes are unable to make their product because of the shortage. Apparently the cause of the trouble is that the makers did not anticipate that June is summer, and people drink more and have BBQ, and they did not notice that the world cup of soccer is happening and that that results in consumption of such beverages.

By the way, my car is now producing less CO2 - I am frequently getting over 50mpg on my commute, and as Friday coming home I got just over 60mpg. Not bad for a Passat, but must admit that the measurement is done by VW equipment.
we need more vegetation

should we ban vegans ?

So you did an empirical investigation.

At east you come to an empirically justified conclusion that would be considered acceptable methodology for investigation in the US.
Yeah, but being in Europe I will have to repeat the experiment multiple times to remove statistical uncertainties. And perform double-blind studies. Ouch

So much easier to live in a post-fact world, isn't it...

Long ago I talked to the pastor of a church. He said he believed in original sin because he saw his 4 year old son hit his 2 year old son on the head with a hammer. He asked the 4 year old: "why did you do that?".

The answer: "I wanted to see if it hurt."

NB: I am not debating the doctrinal matter, just telling the story.

The boy has a future in the scientific field... that's an enquiring mind, and a rigorous (albeit slightly frightening) application of the scientific method...

Oh, but that's nothing to do with original sin.

It's just an inquisitive mind.

We have lots of those around here, so watch your back.

And head.

I know. Most people don't realise because it gets overshadowed by my humbleness.

Much better, thanks. I can bend my elbow well past 90° without much pain now

I don't need no quack to tell me that, either.

A lecturer at University had a reminder for us students as the exams were drawing closer:

"Remember: Amphetamine keeps you awake. But it also ruins your concentration. Good luck."
