Are they like sweet peas that you pop open and enjoy like candy.

Sort of. Not really sweet like candy. They are soybeans, in the pod, seasoned with a little sea salt. Stem them and serve hot.

Really tasty.

Much more so than a K3.

Even if it had bacon and cheese on it.

This thread is its own dimension, like Vegas. If it didn't happen here it didn't happen anywhere else, either.

When I was about 6 years old we moved from Southern California to Virginia. And we crossed the US in a Rambler Ambssador. The seats lay down and the whole car becomes a bed.

The interstate system was largely unfinished then, so most of the trip was done on US highways.

MY folks fixed something akin to hobo stew on the manifold. Ground beef, chopped up veggies and a little soup stock in aluminum foil.

As I recall it was very good.

Way better than a K3.

Sure has the K3 beat.

And likely contains bacon and cheese.

I'm not sure I've ever had anything containing those two that tasted bad.

Watching the Olympics this evening. One of my favorite events, the downhill is on. On of the Americans just went over 84 miles an hour.

On skis.

The first jump the guy flew 80 yards and about 20 feet in the air.

Woot! Woot!

Meh. If it isn't cooked on cast iron it isn't Scout camp food.

That high tech High Adventure stuff is for different programs altogether. One of them even has girls in it. Really - Coed Boy Scouts. Kid you not. I'm an Advisor.
