a lot of dispute as to whether he actually pointed to where the ball was going

or just pointed or

what

but why bother with the facts when the legend exists

Oh yes, some of those who never grew out of playing with balls have quite impressive incomes. Most of them are still broke when nobody's willing to throw ridiculous amounts of money at them any more, though.

Some of those playing with balls in Russia right now make more a month than I do in a lifetime of... umm... I almost said hard work, but my mother told me not to tell lies

Oh, come on. Ballgames are for kids. Perfectly fine to waste your time on, but they are for kids.

In all humbleness, of course.

Got my delayed July 4th cook started.
Baby back ribs.
It's 95F according to the weather service, heat index of 105, but my outside thermometer, in the shade on the deck, says 104, and my pit monitor read 104 before I stuck the probe end into a grill vent.

So... Not really any need to for it up, then?

Ok, maybe a tad low even for slow cooking, but not by too much

Have had a cold day here, I don't think we even hit 25C. Normally that would be considered a searingly hot day but this summer most days have been closer to 30 or even above. Had to put on a fleece jacket on my way home today

77F and wearing a jacket?
Norwegians may be humble, but not as hardy as I thought.

Not that I'm anti-jacket when the weather calls for one.

Used along with appropriate anti-freeze, it seems.

Not that I have anything against anti-freeze.

Long story, we spent the whole afternoon at the pet hospital since our vet's office is closed for the holiday.
Our birthday girl, after a good start this morning, got worse, could not lay down for a second without popping back up.
Vitals checked out good, they gave her a couple of fluid injections under the skin of her back for dehydration, with meds for nausea and pain.
She looks like a 2 hump camel. Going to her regular vet tomorrow if not better. She's one tired pup, zonked out at home now.
There's about a half dozen or more possibilities for the problem, x-rays, blood tests, etc would be needed and a very good chance of no real diagnoses.
No barbecue today, shooting for tomorrow.
Sorry to read this, I know how you feel Bob. It was like that with Zoe.

Best wishes for Brooke.

Thanks Racer.
She's much improved today, she had dinner with a bit of her regular food mixed in with turkey, a scrambled egg, and yogurt.
Smelled good, I almost sampled it, almost.
Her appetite is back along with her bark at the UPS truck when it comes by.

Good to hear Bob. (Even though it may remain a mystery what caused this.)
