Well, things viewed from the head and from the heart appear different. The same for left brain/right brain, etc. It's more of a reminder to myself that if you split the difference between two different viewpoints right down the middle, you'll usually get pretty close to reality.
Stop making sense. You make my head hurt.

And just hinting at the possibility of my viewpoints being slightly off causes such a huge cognitive dissonance that my nose starts bleeding.

Have a cheese and lutefisk sandwich. You'll feel better.

Parallax describes the view you get with a twin lens reflex.... like my dad's old Ricohflex... that he bought in 1950, even though it had Ricoh as part of it's name.... what was he thinking?

No beavers in Oz! We have the famous platypus - hard to find, hard to get a shot, hard to catch - if you did catch one you have to look out for the spur under one of the back legs!
The toxin causes excruciating pain with no antidote.

The platypus.

One of nature's cruel jokes.

And without opposable thumbs they cannot operate a K3.

Steve
Now I'm sorry I even mentioned beaver. I appear to have created a mass hysteria equivalent to that started by the OP, an irrational fear of the unknown. Mea culpa.

Reality in this case being roughly the Adam's apple?

Or the front teeth of a ferocious beaver.

(Sorry, but once mass hysteria takes hold, it's hard to shake.)

Around here, beavers are generally regarded as a cross between opossums and termites.

Around here they are generally regarded as the industrious and regal symbol of a misunderstood nation. Oh, and they make good coats and hats!

I'm convinced that God made the platypus out of leftover parts.
