why I won't buy a k3 (Warning: Satire Thread)

My dinner last night was a grilled head of romaine lettuce, cut in half, and brushed with garlic olive oil, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
It reminded me of my mom's wilted lettuce, except she used hot bacon grease.

I have done something similar but with thick slices of cabbage

most up to date [ that I know of ] for the July and August Raffles:

There have been some questions regarding the timing of the raffle threads. The raffle threads will go live approximately 1 full day after we reach 40,000 posts, at the times specified above. There will be a test raffle thread several hours earlier so we can ensure that the system is correctly enforcing the contest rules, and running smoothly.

At the current rate it looks like the raffle will happen on July 29th or 30th.

If at the time the winner is drawn, the post count looks like it will reach 55,000 by the end of the July giveaway period, the prize will be upgraded to a K-1 II. Based on the current average posting rate, this does not appear likely.

I, for one, hope that Adam does decide to award those who have posted the most in June and July by giving them a spot in the raffle for August:

I think that it would be a good reward for those of us who have stepped forward and help drive the numbers of posts to the level needed for the give away

Yay! I was a top poster for June - auto entered in August!

I'll have to still try for July though - the chances are so small within the raffle pool size
