Yep, that is correct. The taxes on cars are high here, and there's a 25 % vat on top of that. Electric vehicle are exempt from both. Which means that a Tesla Model S doesn't cost much more than your typical family car. About half of new cars sold now are electric, I believe.
Our electricity comes almost exclusively from hydro - but being part of the European market for electricity the prices aren't as low as they used to be.
