Buy another one, and introduce it slowly, you know, like you do with a new puppy or kitten. The first day or two leave it in the box where your current one can see it. Then take it out a few times a day and hold them next to each other (Not too close!). After a few days you should be able to leave them alone in the same room, but I'd wait a week or two before putting them together in the same camera bag.
Maybe cover the hociR on your current one with gaffer's tape so it will feel superior, and that it's getting special treatment.
I did that with my Limited lenses when I bought an HD DA70mm Ltd. Did not want jealous feelings of rejection to rear their heads and obscure the clear images of the 35mm Macro Ltd and the earlier HD DA15. I think it worked. None of the lenses turn themselves off. Last week I got another of the Sisters, the DA21mm Ltd. Not a peep from the Others. Best to keep peace in the family. Nothing worse than feuding Hatfield DA and McCoy HD Ltds!
By the way, having two of each coating, I cannot see any significant difference in starburst quality except on the newer 15, where the 14 point star has become less distinct than on older 15s or on my new (old) 21.
It is so much fun buying nice glass. And that is why I won"t buy a K3.
