Had two bouts of infection. No pain but lots of ache. Seems clear now. Always a nuisance when the nearest doctors are an hour's flight away. Specialists, six hours.

O.K.
Just had some homemade 4 cheese lasagna, with french-Canadian meatballs on the side.
This might call for a power nap. Therefore, the hociR is safe again.

Okay, what is a French-Canadian meatball?
Is that slang for Quebecois?
(My apologies to any Quebecois on the forum, but sometimes I can't help myself. Please take that in the light hearted spirit in which it was made.)

Ouch! That's brutal.

I guess I've never thought about how blessed we are to have easy access to specialists as needed.

We do have a couple of pediatric specialties that we only have one or two here. We have one pediatric pulmonologist, one neurologist & 2 cardiologists. No peds nephrologist though. Got to drive for that. And our peds cardiology doesn't do heart transplant. I'd love to move to an area with a world class children's specialty hospital. We have a good children's hospital, but there's still things we lack.

Racer, I have the same type of hip. Done in 2008. Redone after massive infection in 2008.5. Now all is well.
So that makes us almost like twins then!

Although I didn't have any infection. That must have sucked.

Infection & blood clot are the two biggest reasons why "grandma fell & broke her hip & never left the hospital". More than half my time is spent encouraging (read that as cajoling, begging &/or downright bullying) people to get out of bed & MOVE. The human body is not designed for prolonged periods of down time like that.

I once had to send a 14 year old to the ICU post appendectomy. Seriously. 14. Because he wouldn't take deep breaths & cough or get out of bed & walk.

french-Canadian meat ball, is anything that does not conform to the standards of Finnish, or when-in lack off them, the Swedish, meat-balls. It is pretty simple...

Nope.

Perfectly normal.

It was some guy whose screen name is "pentaxdude" who got the ball rolling. And now he is ashamed to come out of hiding after seeing his love child in action.

Yep.

Perfectly normal.

Now let's ride brother! I'm headin' for Sturgis. You comin'?
