No, not for a sticky bidon. Occasionally, I go bush. Which is why the Disco is scratchy and dented. Trees seem to win against 4x4 fenders every time.

Hi Racer

That trailer is definately not.suited for offroad conditions.
I think it would bottom out on a speed hump

Dave
What you see is a flexible aerodynamic skirt, for improving fuel economy. The bottom of the trailer is about 1.3 meters off of the ground.

Yep, for offroad, my '81 Toyota pickup with a grand total of 89hp was unstoppable
I never took it off road, and never had it on a dyno so I have no idea how much power it made, but it would smoke the tires in first and second, and get a pretty good chirp grabbing third, and got well in excess of 140 mph in fourth gear.

It had a 20R, that I breathed on a bit.

Weber 32/36 carb on a Canon manifold, Clifford header, 4" exhaust, shaved head and decked block, bigger valves with a trick 3 angle valve seat grind, .290" lift long duration camshaft with considerable overlap, balanced, blueprinted. It loped quite a bit at idle.

I frequently outran buddies with 5.0 Mustangs and Camaros with 350 engines.

I bought it in 1980 with about 60,000 or 70,000 miles on it, and a bad clutch. I put a new clutch in it, and then later built the engine and did a complete repaint. This pic is shortly after the paint. I had SR5 wheels like the front, but when I took the photo they were at a wheel shop getting widened to 10".

I lost count of how many times I rolled the odometer over, but it was at least 3 or 4.

My Forester has more than it's share of scratches (and now a puncture in the front bumper plastics). It is a somewhat capable machine offroad but I do miss having a low range. One day I will replace it with a Tacoma; better off road and more suitable for towing.
My Legacy only has 6" of ground clearance, and I've taken it places I would never take my old Toyota pickup.

What road?

I recognize the hooks on the side of the box; nice looking truck! ...mine was a shortbox 4X4 ...100kph with a wind behind me (only 4 gears )

Good question.
They often ask "Did you pack your own bag?" and then they get antsy if you reply "No".
I mean, realistically; Why would you pack your own bag? I'm only allowed to pack my hand luggage. My wife is in control of the rest.
