Pentax's UK support company, Johnsons Photophia, appears to have gone into administration - WHAT next?

On Wednesday I was walking along Tottenham Court Road, near to Warren St station and saw a B&M camera shop with a Pentax sign on the outside (with others) but the roller shutters down and the rubbish between the roller shutter and the windows and door. No evidence of activeness inside. And that was about 16:30, still light.

Racer, I see some pilot landed one of your employer's recent products in the sea in the South Sea Islands yesterday or the day before. So, there is an order for a replacement coming in very soon. 737-800 went too far along the runway and into the see at the end. I guess, an insurance write-off, although the Australian airline with red kangaroo tails might pay more than it would cost to replace to maintain their 'no hull loss' safety record. They did that with an old 747 that had an incident on landing in Bangkok.

It's all good John, I understand.

Faceplant is how many people stay in touch.

Like an e-mail or phone call isn't enough.

I like it cus I can stay in touch with many friends and not have to email spam them every time I have a life update. I simply post my update and anyone who feels like looking at it can...easy peasy ;-)

I still sit down each month and pay all my bills the old fashioned way, with my checkbook.

The only time I ever paid for a phone was after the telco stopped offering the free one, and I needed a new one.

They are still pestering me to “upgrade” to one of those smrat phons, but I will not pay for one, and they don’t give them away like they used to.
Online banking for me...I don't even own a check book. Amazing how times have changed.

Virtually dead here too. Banks still issue chequebooks on some accounts, mostly business accounts. But most everyone does electronic banking here. I predict that cheques will be a thing of the past here in another 5 years.
Already almost as dead as the fax machine.
I can print a check from my online account IF I need it...rarely though

Hope last Friday's tornadoes brought him no damage or harm.
Thanks for thinking of us Bob! We were on the road and experiences high winds but not tornados. Those did hit kinda close to home as the West end of Ottawa got hit and then it skipped across the river and hit the Quebec side. All good on the home front though.

I don't have any updates.

Wait.

I do have one.

Everyday too.

I get up on the dates Monday through Friday for a date at the Big Shed.

And I know a lot of people have quite a keen interest in the goings on there. Indeed, it is a fascinating place. Being a part of the creation of the machines that fly out most days and likely never come back, flying around the world at amazing speeds for 20 years or more.

There.

I just updated.

Still not gonna FacePlant.

I got enough contact here.

And over there.

Gotta go now.

Dinner time.

BFN
