Kinda like an eBay auction. At the last minute some unknown person snipes you and the auction is lost.
Originally posted by dansamy It waxes & wanes. Posting isn't hard, obviously. It's posting content that will prompt somebody to hit that dang like button that is sometimes difficult. And I'm not above begging, bartering or just plain out groveling!

Originally posted by dansamy I know! And I'm really quite generous with the likes. I do try to like at least one post from each of our regulars in here every day. Occasionally, I miss somebody.
Originally posted by savoche You mean in this thread? Sure, I can "like" stuff that makes me laugh, but generally I spare my likes for good pictures and helpful posts. Not too many of them here
Apart from good reasons not to buy a K-3, of course
But when I post pictures people like, well, then they "like" them. I
think that's supposed to be the spirit of the post-a-thon...
When I first joined this community the first thing I noticed was how the "Likes" are different here. Most of the members are very stingy with the likes. If you try to make too much of the likes feature there is a dialog that pops up, advising you to "spread it around to others" that you "like this person enough".
The whole like thing comes from that FaceBookMySpaceTwitterHashtag thing.
Me?
I can always use my home made likes.
