We received a foot of snow last night and another foot forecast for today, and still no snow clearing abilities... but at least we have the truck back (with 4x4 again!) so we can can probably make it down the drive...

If I was closer I would pop by and take a look at it...alas...I suppose

Racer - Glad the healing process is going well - I suppose.

bertwert - Time to call Jimmy Davis Towing. Or have you ever thought of contracting your snow removal? If not a young guy like yourself should have no trouble shoveling a 1/4 driveway. Better yet contact your buddies in the Canadian military and have then clear it out with a helicopter. These are the things I propose..... I suppose

Well, on second evaluation... the car will not budge (snow nearly up to the top of the wheels), and the 4x4 on the truck is not actually working, we haven't tested it until now... no skiing today then, but the lines look torturous anyways... we're now attempting to clear the drive with a (quite) mini excavator. Maybe it's time to call our neighbour (5 miles or so away...) who has a snow cat... Shovelling the 1.5ft+ of snow just won't work...

I'm sure if you're ever in our neck of the woods, there'll be something broken you can fix

You come shovel our longer-than-a-quarter-of-a-mile driveway... done that once already this year...
A young man needs his excercise. Get shovelling.

Looks like the dogs that shoot Canon and Nikon.
Phodographers, Racer.

Don't you know my, umm, humble sense of humour by now?

You're a better man than I am, Charlie - if there ever was a doubt.

Nah, of course there wasn't.

But still humble of me to say so, I suppose.

Bert..Bert...Bert......so you don't want to shovel anymore......thats ok.....I suppose..
You will have to find the manufacturer of the flame throwing bagpipes from ..what 50 pages ago you'll remember it... if not Bob will ( you know how he loves bagpipes now don't you )

In the mean time use a colander it has holes for easy squishing of snow.......Just another helpful hint from the NASA actors of the Antipedes

Partial success, we eventually got the car to the bottom with much hassle (pulling with excavator, shovelling, etc...), but the truck is stuck fast,
We went for a nice ski in the field to relax, but the regular half hour ski took over two hours of sluggish shuffling. As much as I dislike the things, for the speed we were outputting and the energy exerted, we might as well have been using snowshoes.

Now with over two feet of snow... I did some napkin calculations, and clearing the drive with this much snow is about the same as moving 2 million tea cups full...
