It is so hard for this old guy to not be judgmental when I see this sort of thing.

She was otherwise nice looking and attractive. I don't get the excess fishing tackle in the face though, and the tattoos looked amateurish/fringe biker type stuff. Almost like prison work, done with improvised equipment and "inks".

I just don't get the intentional disfiguration.

Still snowing. About 4" more since I got home today.

I hope some tree limb doesn't get too heavy and fall onto the power lines and cut the electricity off.

After which all the glowing survivors will clamor to your shores, and inundate your peaceful archipelago paradise.

I wouldn't want to be you then.

It's a bit of a swim, so we'll take our chances.

I have the perfect solution for what to do with the snow.

Make the modifications that this guy details, and blow the snow onto your neighbor's driveway.

Modify Snowblower to never clog and throw twice as far w/ Impeller Kit - YouTube

So your neighbour will remember the catchline of an ad when I was young: 'good fences make good neighbours', along with pictures of men in east and west German uniforms.

And then your neighbour will send the documents that force you to pay 50% of the fence.

By the way, it is snowing again. Started about an hour after I left for work at 3:30 am.

Gotta build another snowman, the one I built last Monday isn't looking too good.

Oh yeah, just remembered.

Left the Big Shed a couple hours early today and drove to the post office, adding 32 miles to my daily commute, and had a chat with the postmaster who never replied to my e-mail yesterday.

Had a nice chat with some young gal with a nose ring, a diamond stud in not just one but both nostrils, a bodacious diamond wedding ring that covered a tattooed "ring", and tattoos showing around the collar and sleeves of her US Mail shirt. She made all kinds of excuses, and after some rummaging around managed to rustle up a week's worth of mail and parcels.

She told me they had nearly half of the route drivers stuck in ditches today.

I get it.

The mail vans suck. Automatic gearboxes, rear wheel drive (without limited slip differentials), and not very heavy after half of the day's mail has been delivered. The rural route drivers used to have their own vehicles, most had those right hand drive Subaru Legacy wagons. Apparently the US Mail decided that they should be prooviding the vehicles, and, well, we have already discussed that.

By the way, did I mention it is snowing again? About 4" or so thus far.

Gotta go, my snowman awaits.

Oh well. So you stay a bit longer at the big shed and your employer's order fulfilment is brought forward, putting further pressure on the makers of the flying buses, who take years to deliver on orders.

With IKEA pictures they might have hidden it away somewhere most people would not look.

Here it turned to rain last night. Then it's suppsed to get colder again. Yay.

Apart from that, here's a fellow Norwegian who's built his own V8 snowblower. Looks like he's from the Voss area from his number plate.

It's very usable for cruising the roads in the summer as well. A practical vehicle if I ever saw one.

This guy in Canada beat him by 4 years. Much more impressive too. It has tracks like a tank and can throw snow some 40 meters or so.
