Guess I should report on my podiatry visit.

Gotta have another date with the scalpel.

The osteotomy isn't healing, there is about a 2mm gap between the ends of the metatarsal. The surgeon also believes the plate is broken. So the plan is to go back in, remove the broken plate and screws, clean the ends of the bone, take a bit of bone from the heel to use as a bone graft, stick it in there and install a new plate and screws, then sew it all back up.

Again.

Next week or the week after.

Yay.
Sorry to hear that. At least it's free!

Number 4, it's a no brainer, it's the only one with bacon.

I tend to agree. And yet.... and yet... that beef stew 'n' biscuits is calling me. Maybe a side of bacon with that, and I'm sold As it is, Im wavering...

It's not quite that cut and dried, Bob.

you need to saute stuff for beef stew...render a few pieces of bacon and cook in that and put bacon bits on top

Mrs monochrome just voted for #5. I can always sneak in 1/2 lb. of thick cut bacon.

Awesome.

At least people there don't forget how to drive when it snows, eh?

As well you should.

The Ferris truck stop in Faucett, MO has the best BLT sammiches. A half pound of bacon on huge sourdough bread. Lots of lettuce and beefsteak tomatoes, and I always had them add cheddar cheese.

A big glass of iced tea, and for dessert an apple dumpling (fresh made from scratch there!) with vanilla ice cream.
