And it is near the end. One poor guys front left wheel fell off. At least he was safe, he had practice. His front left wheel fell off last year because of not bolting it on right at a pit stop.

We once had an all-auto racing channel here. F1 races were broadcast live in the wee hours. Now that SPEED Channel is gone we can hardly get anything but NASCAR and the 24-Hour races.

Thy are clearly trying to perpetuate the view of Americans held by many other people, that Americans a barely aware that there is a rest of the world, or any details about the rest of the world. Clearly how there can be a World Series of baseball and no really foreign teams, such as from Europe, Asia, Africa, South America or Australia have ever been invited to play, even just to be a ‘rest of the world ‘ whipping boy there because they are expected to be easy beats who will confirm the US as the best players.

The name World Series has been used since about 1890, we're not about to change it for folks who seem to despise Americans.

Yep.

The Japanese really like it, and darned near took it away from us, but now they just send over the occasional player.

There does seem to be a lot of players from the Caribbean, but still, the primary focus is North America.

After all, you can’t have the statement, “As American as baseball, Chevrolet and apple pie.”, without baseball.
