Mrs Bob and I both have a Samsung J7, mine bought in 2016, hers in 2017.
We've been very happy with them, each cost about $170, and we have pre-paid plans at $30 a month each, with more data time than we'll ever use.

Do you remember the Palm Pilot...ahead of it's time

Still have a Zire 72.... before we moved south for the winter I found some open source Win10 x64 USB drivers that allowed me to bring it back to life (Palm's refusal to release 64bit USB drivers was its death knell). When we head back to our northern home in another month I will resume the project to get my ancient Palm operational. I have a Note 8 - in my opinion a ruinous price for something my Palm did for under US$100 and never satisfactorily synced with my non-Exchange server copy of MS Outlook. Once I achieve that, bye-bye future overpriced Samsung phones. I'm fine with carrying two devices.

for me the first part of the 70s was slade roxy music trex bowie alice cooper the stooges..who really started in 60s )later the new york dolls ..then the ramones came along and the next thing i knew i was living in a squat in london at 16 ... eventually came home hooked up with the burgeoning punk scene here
i was a horrible musician though I made Sid look like jaco pastorius...
but i met a lot of interesring people along the way and still keep in touch with a few that havent died (ugh so many deaths between hiv and heroin i lost an awful lot of friends... im ready for old age though. ) ans still get to hang out see a number of them who tour , or when i travel to europe (i havent been to visit US friends in a long time but they have mostly been up here)

At work, we are still on Blackberries which I am reticent to give up. Setting up notifications on my Q10 is a thing of beauty...blue LED for stuff from my blue eyed sweetheart, green from my kids, and so many other permutations and combinations...try that with an Android phone

i have thought seriously about a return to blackberry. my samsung s7 is fine for now ...and if i qm not mistaken blackberry is now android

I'm sure putting a microphone in your home is perfectly fine. A microphone that listens to everything you say. I mean, what could possibly go wrong??

And why stop with microphones? They have also patented sensors to be installed in your bathroom mirror and in your toilet to make sure that you are in ship shape. Good to know that Big Brother is looking after your health, isn't it?
