I have discovered that the true hope for the K-3 lays with the eventual firmware upgrade that will remove the hociR from its backside. After all, a firmware tweak is the answer to all camera problems, eh?

...but will Tokyo still be destroyed?

When I had a sinus thing, my first ENT surgeon gave me a CD with the stack of images, which the second surgeon didn't even look at (of course). And the 2nd radiology department looked at me funny when I said I'd like a copy of the scans they did, so that I could run it through the computer and look at it myself.

Not to be vain, but I have a really cool skull!

(Too bad they didn't shoot slices for the top & bottom, but no way am I going back to get the rest!)
Looks like a scene from "Indiana Jones: The Crystal Skull."

Stevebrot,

A piece of gaffer's tape, a la Loren, will do the trick. The new Firmware comes with a small piece of tape that you download and print, complete with adhesive back.

Always.

And Bill Murray is my personal hero ... the French translated version of "Groundhog Day" stinks, but I regress ...
Ramis died yesterday. He wrote and directed Groundhog Day, Caddy Shack, Ghost Busters, Family Vacation and graduated from Chicago's Second City comedy club with Belushi, Akroyd, Chase and others. A comic genius. I shall miss him.

That was going to be the reason why I will not buy a K3. But I succumbed to the Sirens of B&H with their latest deal and ordered K3 with BG, DA 1.8 50mm, and 32gb Sandisk card. So now I will have to learn again, and much later sell my K30. Or not, perhaps multiple camera bodies are good? I have never had more than one, using my iPhone camera as emergency backup when cards are full or the battery is empty. Also have never used a battery grip. Might not like it because I prefer moving light and quickly, but what do I know?

So I am now, along with Others, perhaps banished from this site? Or should I contribute bad news about the K3? Or good photos from the K3?

I am stoked, it will be totally rad, man!

Yeah, about $150,000,000 worth of them, it seems...

Well, not mine

Oh no. Not another one.
Hmmm. Maybe now would be a good time to invest in Gaffer's tape stock.

I came in third. There were a flurry of likes during the last hour, but most of the ones sent my way were for posts from a day or two earlier.

Too little, too late.

C'est, la vie!

There is still the possibility of redemption if you are diligent in pointing out the faults of the K-3 to others.

Indeed. And a good way to make money. For someone. Somewhere.
