In shared use facilities, such as in Racer's big shed effluvia, always open the lid and seat using one's foot.

3 things I always carry, a knife, mini flashlight, and a bandanna handkerchief.
The hanky comes in handy for handling handles.

Some dog went for a swim and got a bit off track.

About 135 miles off track.

Dog rescued by oil rig 135 miles offshore in Gulf of Thailand

I'm right there with you, figuratively speaking.
The doors should always swing out from the inside so elbows can open them.
I like the johns with paper towels, and a waste can near the door.
Mrs Bob calls me a germaphobe.
Agreed Bob...use paper towel to open the door and then toss the paper towel

Transport by ship isn't that costly, I think. The producer has contracted the same shipping company since 1927 to do the task. Four of their ro-ro ships take Aquavit containers with them. Each container holds 20 barrels of 500 litres each. A typical round trip takes 120 days through 30+ ports.

Anything containing alcohol is expensive here anyway, so the extra roundtrip on the high seas doesn't really make much of a difference.

As for taste... I don't really like the stuff. Some brands are less vile than others (some are even almost drinkable!) but to me Aquavit falls in the same category as Tequila - expensive paint strippers.

Oh, these ships are quite big - 260m/860ft long and a tonnage of 30,000 - so a few containers more or less shouldn't make too much of a difference.
I did not use to like Tequila until I tried some better ones down in Mexico...biiiiggg difference. And the next time I go I want to try some Mescal. From what I understand Tequila is made under stricter guidelines (only blue agave) where Mescal can deviate quite a bit...making for smokier more interesting varients of the agave liquor.

Enjoy your paint stripper but they ain't my thing With the exception of single malt Scotch I don't really drink liqour at all. There are some decent rums and cognacs out there but they are few and far between. The bottle I bought for my wife is actually not half bad - I guess the fancy name helps: De Luze XO Très Vieille Réserve Supérieur

Good thing we're not all alike or this world would be pretty dull, eh.

The commodes at the Big Shed only have seats, no lids.

And most of the bathrooms are on the mezzanine level, so they make you work when it is time to go. You have to climb stairs to get there, and then take the stairs back to the shop floor.

There are a few restrooms that are either on the main floor, or can be accessed by elevator, for those who have a handicap or disability.

Guess everyone's been out humpin' it today, well most everyone.
Bad news for me is I missed my nap due to a Cardinals baseball game, good news is they won and avoided a sweep by the Brewers.

That must make bath-time pretty complicated, but hey, you carry what you carry...

I’m humpin’ it just about everyday. I rarely stop. Always something needs done.

But on hump day, I think of this:

One of Monstro’s ancestors.

Bandanna tied around my head, knife in my teeth, and flashlight resting atop an ear, no problemo.
It cleans my kerchief and washes the blood off my knife, all with good lighting.

I miss seeing those trucks.
For ABF trucks I long ago came up with a meaning for the letters.
Can't post all of them here, but the AB was interchangeable with Ain't Been or Already Been.
I like mine better than Arkansas Best Freight.

You mean there's a different way to the foot method?
