While you lot have been drinking, cooking, eating, I have been out taking photos. (strange, I know!)
The local vintage care people had a day at the airport yesterday (Sunday). I snuck out while Mrs Rod was resting and had a look -
lots of old stuff; cars (automobiles in USA), trucks (lorries in UK), fire engines, tractors, etc etc and because is was at the airport, lots of aeroplanes (airplanes).
I wasn't there long enough to see much flying, but did catch a Ceres crop-duster using AF-C and while focus was pretty good, I did miss framing seriously a few times.

I don't have a bedside clock, yesterday the morning sun was so bright out our bedroom window I thought it was later when I got up, it was only 6:40.
This morning's cloudy sky made me think it would be earlier when I got up, it was 7:30.
Went out on the deck with my coffee, it's starting to rain.
Still no sign of passing through orioles yet, I have food ready for them.
That will be me when I retire...get up when my internal alarm clock decides I should be getting up.

Put it on some foil, or parchment paper, on a sheet pan and pop it in the oven at 350.
Keep an eye on it and flip the strips at least once.
Ovens make excellent bacon with little shriveling.
So this was an excellent suggestion Bob. Don't know why I didn't think of it, after all, I have been broiling steaks this way forever. If I don't cook a steak on the grill, I avoid getting a skillet dirty and place the steak on foil, on a cookie sheet, and "grill it" under the broiler.

Perfect!

Don't you get a lot of grease splatters?
I'd rather clean a grill than an oven.
Mrs Bob did a self clean cycle on ours recently, she forgot to take out the racks, we no longer have shiny chrome plated racks.

Putting out a plea to Bert.
Mr Bertwert, if you still peek in here now and again please let us know you're ok.
I promise you can even post a bagpipe video and I will watch it in it's entirety.
Sincerely,
Bob the bbq dude

I've got a fever, and I need more bagpipes, not cowbell.

Bonjour y'all ...

I saw this on FB and thought about everyone ... hope that y'all are well.
